KEINE MEHR – a documentary theater play about solidarity
In the play “NO MORE”, three women talk about violence and their own experiences. They are survivors and experts. They are active in the women's struggle and some of them work with victims themselves in order to share their expertise and help other women*. They make their statements and criticism accessible to an audience without using victim narratives that are often favored in the media and politics.
“Violence is violence”. However, how this violence is made possible and classified in a society characterized by racism, classism and patriarchal structures is complex. Three experts agreed to discuss and document their experiences, their struggles and their wishes for a performance about violence against women.
The meeting between the protagonists formed the basis of the play “KEINE MEHR” by Bühne für Menschenrechte. The performance is like an intense conversation: sometimes familiar, sometimes strange, meandering, choppy, systemic, anecdotal. Always with an underlying call for solidarity from and with affected FLINTA, no matter how different their stories are.
